Can I give a representative or an employee access to my tax information in ONT-TAXS online?
Yes. You can provide online access to a representative or an employee by using the Manage Logons feature in ONT-TAXS online. To provide access, select the My Profile link in ONT-TAXS online and choose the Manage Logon button. Then, follow the online instructions to add an employee or a representative in ONT-TAXS online.
NOTE: You will need to obtain your representative's Web Access Code to add him/her as your representative in ONT-TAXS online.
I have provided access to my employees to use ONT-TAXS online. What do my employees need to do to start using ONT-TAXS online?
Your employees will need to create their own ONe-key ID and password and sign up for the ONT-TAXS online service using their PIN and Web Access Code. The ministry will automatically send a confidential PIN to your employees using the e-mail address you provided when you added them in ONT-TAXS online. You will also need to provide employees with the Web Access Code assigned to them in ONT-TAXS online. The Web Access Code is displayed in ONT-TAXS online after you have entered the employee's contact information online.
Can different access levels be assigned to employees or representatives in ONT-TAXS online?
Yes. With ONT-TAXS online you can control which accounts with the ministry your employees or representatives can access. You can also choose which online features you want them to use. Access levels are assigned by you or your ONT-TAXS online Administrator in ONT-TAXS online and include:
- view account information
- update account information
- file returns including certain returns in XML format for Fuel Tax, Gasoline Tax and Tobacco Tax
- make payments
- send electronic messages to the ministry, or
- any combination of these levels.
