IFTA Quarterly Tax Return Gets a New Look

In the last volume of the IFTA NewsFlash (Vol. 26), we made you aware of some changes and improvements to the IFTA Quarterly Tax Return that will make it easier for IFTA carriers to comply with Ontario's tax laws. Detailed information and instructions can be found in the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) Quarterly Tax Return and Schedule Guide included with your September 2009 return.

If you are a carrier or service provider who previously created your own version of the IFTA return or submitted the return using spreadsheets, you no longer need to do this. To make it easier, you can now use ONT-TAXS online to file your returns and more.

Please contact us if you have any questions about the new IFTA return. You can also find information on the IFTA guide and previous volumes of the IFTA NewsFlash on the ministry website at ontario.ca/revenue.
