This information bulletin outlines upcoming changes to Employer Health Tax (EHT) forms and processes.
The Ontario Ministry of Revenue is improving client service, through an initiative known as ONT-TAXS, Ontario's Tax Services.

Beginning in November 2008, employers who file monthly EHT instalments will receive a new statement of account. New features include:
A new easy-to-read, easy-to-use, EHT return will also be phased in:
Ontario is joining the federal government and other provinces in using the Canada Revenue Agency Business Number (BN) to securely identify a business and its associated tax accounts.
The ministry will recognize the BN for EHT clients starting December 8, 2008. Existing EHT account numbers will continue to be valid during the transition period. Please remember to update the ministry and your representatives (i.e., accountant, payroll service provider) regarding any changes to your EHT account(s).
