Taxes Administration Act Project

In the 2008 Ontario Budget, the government announced its intention to introduce a Taxes Administration Act to make compliance with Ontario's tax laws easier.

By combining tax rules common to various tax statutes into a single statute, the government hopes to reduce complexity, simplify tax requirements and make them more consistent.

Ontario businesses will benefit from a Taxes Administration Act because it will:

  • save time by providing a single point of reference
  • reduce regulatory burden
  • make Ontario's tax laws easier to follow
  • simplify tax legislation

The Ministry of Revenue and Ministry of Finance are beginning the process of developing this legislation and want input from their tax clients.

We invite you to take part in an online questionnaire to provide us with your insights.
