One business, one identifier. You only need one Business Number (BN) for access to information about your federal and provincial government accounts.
Ontario has joined the federal government and other provinces in using the Business Number assigned by the Canada Revenue Agency to securely identify a business and its associated accounts. Retail Sales Tax and Employer Health Tax clients are now using the Business Number. Other statutes will follow later.
